Job summary

J.Jill is seeking a Manager, Business Program Management to drive high-priority enterprise initiatives in a collaborative, cross-functional setting. You will coordinate planning, execution, and governance with business and IT teams to align strategic objectives with delivery and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional programs, presenting to executives, and ensuring alignment with budgeting and financial analyses.

  • Knowledge of project/program management methodologies.
  • Ability to resolve business problems, make decisions and prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional strategic initiatives from intake and planning through execution.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to align objectives and deliverables.
  • Establish objectives, milestones, dependencies and success metrics with leaders.
  • Support prioritization and governance through coordination of sequencing and tracking.
  • Provide executive-level status updates on progress, risks and milestones.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies; elevate issues as needed.
  • Use program management tools and templates for day-to-day reporting.
  • Prepare materials for Executive level reviews with the VP.
  • Coordinate execution across IT and business teams for enterprise initiatives.
  • Support development, validation, and tracking of financial and operational business cases.

Overview

The Manager, Business Program Management is responsible for supporting the execution of J. Jill’s high priority business and cross functional strategic initiatives. This role partners closely with leadership to coordinate enterprise programs, align priorities, manage dependencies, and provide visibility into execution risks and opportunities.

This position plays a key role in supporting execution by connecting strategic objectives to operational delivery for the Business, in partnership with IT. Role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and program management capabilities with the ability to influence teams across all levels of the organization while maintaining a practical business-focused approach to execution.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional strategic initiatives from intake and planning through execution
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and alignment to ensure initiative objectives, priorities and deliverables remain coordinated across teams
  • Partner with business/functional leaders to establish objectives, milestones, dependencies and success/financial measurements
  • Support initiative prioritization and governance processes by coordinating initiative sequencing, dependencies, and execution tracking
  • Provide executive-level status updates and visibility into initiative progress, risks, dependencies and key milestones
  • Identify risks, elevate issues and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Utilize program management tools and templates to support day-to-day and reporting requirements
  • Partner with VP to prepare Executive level reviews and materials
  • Partner closely with IT Program Management and business teams to coordinate execution across enterprise initiatives
  • Support development, validation, and tracking of financial and operational business cases

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field
  • Retail, apparel or consumer-facing industry experience preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • 5-8+ years’ experience in program management, PMO or Consulting
