A Brief OverviewResponsible for planning, directing and evaluating all related business functions for Perioperative Services to support overall corporate financial strategies. Prepares and interprets budget data, financial analysis and business plans. Coordinates and manages the computer information systems for Perioperative Services.
What you will do- Apprises VP, of Operations of all activities, pertinent changes in internal/external market, threats and opportunities in a timely and anticipatory manner and presents action plans for immediate implementation/approval.
- Coordinates and implements business functions, operational and strategic plans to support overall corporate financial strategies and in compliance with accounting policies and practices.
- Manages the maintenance of computerized information systems to ensure accurate data is entered, recorded and generated.
- Manages business and appointment offices. Perioperative Services achieves its objectives for ease of patient access and express registration.
- Implements systems for analyzing, monitoring and reporting financial data and performance indicators such as productivity, services utilized, patient encounters and patient charges to provide overview of operations to Vice President.
- Coordinates and integrates activities between Perioperative Services and other departments to maximize overall effectiveness.
- Evaluates the viability and monitors performance of proposed/existing contract arrangements.
- Maintains a current awareness of reimbursement requirements and ensure compliance to maximize accounts receivables for services provided to patient.
- Implements systems measurements to monitor effectiveness of operations and services. Recommends/implements changes as needed to improve services or efficiency in operations.
- Compiles, prepares and reconciles financial reports and analysis. Generates routing and special reports as directed by Vice President. Assists Vice President in preparation and report of yearly budget.
- Maintains, develops and motivates staff to ensure that a competent, productive and customer responsive staff exists at all times.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance or related area. Required
- Master's Degree Preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience progressive business management experience in a Health Care Administration. Required
- At least 2 years experience in doctors office/hospital working with insurance. Preferred
