Job description

Our partner is looking for a Manager, Business Intelligence Architecture based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on leader to build and scale enterprise data architecture and business intelligence capabilities within a growing, technology-driven organization.

In this role, you will design and implement a scalable enterprise data warehouse that brings information from multiple business systems together into a reliable, centralized environment.

You will establish the data models, integration frameworks, and reporting infrastructure needed to transform complex information into actionable business insights.

Working closely with Finance, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and People teams, you will enable better decision-making through consistent, accessible, and trustworthy data.

Your work will support historical reporting, trend analysis, and performance monitoring across key metrics, including SaaS revenue, customer retention, and operational performance.

Combining strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise, you will evaluate modern data technologies, guide architectural decisions, and take ownership of complex initiatives from concept to delivery.

This is an opportunity to shape the organization's data foundation while establishing best practices and helping develop a growing business intelligence function.

Accountabilities
  • Enterprise data architecture: Design, build, and maintain a scalable enterprise data warehouse and reporting infrastructure that supports current business needs and future growth.
  • Technology evaluation and selection: Assess and recommend appropriate data architectures, cloud platforms, databases, and reporting technologies, balancing scalability, performance, cost, and business requirements.
  • Data modeling and integration: Establish robust data models, integration frameworks, and data management practices that consolidate information from multiple business systems into a consistent enterprise data environment.
  • Business intelligence development: Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and People to understand reporting requirements and deliver practical, data-driven solutions.
  • Historical reporting and analytics: Enable reliable historical reporting, trend analysis, forecasting support, and performance tracking across key business metrics, including recurring revenue, retention, and operational KPIs.
  • Data quality and governance: Establish standards that improve data consistency, reliability, accessibility, and usability across reporting systems and business functions.
  • Technical leadership: Serve as a technical center of excellence for enterprise data management, providing architectural direction, technical guidance, and mentorship to business intelligence team members.
  • Project ownership and delivery: Lead data architecture and BI initiatives from planning through implementation, proactively resolving technical challenges and ensuring solutions meet business objectives.
  • Stakeholder communication: Translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for business leaders and executives, communicating project progress, risks, trade-offs, and outcomes.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance data infrastructure, reporting processes, and analytical capabilities as organizational requirements evolve.
Requirements
  • Professional experience: At least 8 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, business intelligence, data engineering, or data management, including building scalable data environments.
  • Data warehouse architecture: Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouses and integrating data across multiple business systems.
  • SQL and database expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL, data modeling, database architecture, and data integration techniques.
  • Cloud data platforms: Hands-on experience with modern cloud data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure-based data solutions, or comparable platforms.
  • Architecture and technology strategy: Ability to evaluate data technologies and make sound architectural recommendations based on business requirements, scalability, cost efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
  • Business intelligence tools: Familiarity with reporting and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Business acumen: Ability to understand business objectives and translate reporting and analytical needs into effective technical solutions that support informed decision-making.
  • Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical architecture, complex data challenges, and recommended solutions to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Ownership and problem-solving: A proactive, independent working style with demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives, make technical decisions, resolve challenges, and deliver results with minimal oversight.
  • Collaboration and leadership: Ability to work effectively across business functions, build stakeholder relationships, and provide technical direction to colleagues.
  • SaaS experience (preferred): Experience supporting enterprise reporting in a software-as-a-service or recurring-revenue business.
  • Business systems knowledge (preferred): Familiarity with Salesforce, financial platforms, and operational data sources.
