Job summary

Lupin in Bridgewater, NJ, is seeking a Manager, Business Finance / FP&A – US Generics to partner with the US Commercial and Finance teams, delivering insights on sales, margins and costs, and supporting strategic initiatives.

This role focuses on budgeting, five-year planning, product profitability, and close collaboration with India-based teams to drive performance for the US Generics business.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly MIS P&Ls for the US Generics business, providing insights into sales, gross margin and profitability.
• Assist with annual budget and 5-year strategic planning, coordinating product-level assumptions across functions.
• Manage periodic forecasts and explain variances versus budget, forecast and prior year.
• Partner with US Commercial and Finance leadership to provide product and portfolio-level P&L insights.
• Analyze product profitability and portfolio performance to identify margin drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Support financial evaluation of new products, licensing opportunities and strategic initiatives through modeling.
• Coordinate with India-based teams to forecast and monitor Ex-US spend supporting the US business.
• Monitor launches vs. plan and highlight financial risks and opportunities.
• Support monthly/quarterly reviews with analyses, reporting and presentations.
• Drive FP&A process improvements and analytics to improve decision support.

Job Description

Role Summary

The Manager, Business Finance / FP&A – US Generics will serve as a key finance partner to the US Generics business, with responsibility for management reporting, budgeting, medium-term planning, product and portfolio profitability analysis, and financial support for key commercial and strategic decisions.

The role will partner closely with US Commercial and Finance leadership as well as India-based Finance and functional teams to provide timely and actionable insights into business performance, product profitability, operating expenses, risks, and opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. Prepare and analyze monthly MIS P&Ls for the US Generics business, providing management with insights into sales, gross margin, operating expenses, and profitability.
• 2. Assist with annual Budget and 5-Year strategic Planning processes, coordinating product-level assumptions across Commercial, Portfolio, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functions.
• 3. Manage periodic forecasts and outlooks and provide clear analysis of actual and projected performance versus Budget, Forecast, Prior Year, and MTP.
• 4. Partner with US Commercial and Finance leadership to provide product and portfolio-level P&L insights and support key business decisions.
• 5. Analyze product profitability and portfolio performance, identifying key margin drivers, risks, opportunities, and potential profitability improvement actions.
• 6. Support financial evaluation of new products, licensing opportunities, strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and other business opportunities through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• 7. Coordinate with India-based counterparts to forecast, monitor, and manage Ex-US functional spend supporting the US business.
• 8. Monitor performance of new product launches against plan and business case expectations and proactively highlight financial risks and opportunities.
• 9. Support monthly and quarterly management reviews through preparation of financial analyses, management reporting, and executive presentations.
• 10. Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, financial models, reporting, and analytics, improving the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of financial decision support.
• 11. Generate ad hoc reports and analytics, projects, tasks and assignments as needed.

Qualification and Experience

Education and Experience

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, Business Finance, Commercial Finance, or related roles.Experience in the pharmaceutical or generics industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively cross-functionally with at all levels of management
• Proactive, motivated, analytical and strategic thinker with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and requiring limited management oversight
• Team player, capable of wearing multiple hats
• Top-notch Excel skills; SAP experience desirable; other financial modeling experience a plus

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position inNew Jersey is $100,000 to $130,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Lupin is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states
