Job description

We are hiring for a Manager – Business Development

You will be part of a national team of wireless experts focused on supporting wireless-related business opportunities throughout the US. The candidate should have a strong knowledge of 5G technology, Cellular Private Networks, DAS, Wireless Service Provider collaborations, and experience working with Wireless Sales Leadership, Wireless Business Managers (WBM), wireless integrators, and manufacturer partners.

Responsibilities include developing new business, retaining and expanding existing customer relationships, managing research and analysis for new opportunities, creating effective business plans to generate revenue, increase product lines, expand into new markets, and improve customer satisfaction. You will analyze and monitor business growth and decline, and propose solutions to strengthen the company's competitive position within the industry.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify, evaluate, and develop new wireless business opportunities to expand wireless business and increase profitability.
  2. Collaborate with assigned Wireless Inside Specialist.
  3. Manage pipeline and forecast for the wireless inside sales team.
  4. Retain and expand existing wireless relationships, product lines, or market segments; solicit new wireless business from prospective customers and suppliers.
  5. Oversee wireless development and research activities to leverage the company's strengths, identify new markets, and increase market share.
  6. Establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers, addressing unmet needs and arranging meetings with Wesco representatives.
  7. Conduct wireless business development calls with existing or prospective customers.
  8. Represent Wesco in evaluating and negotiating acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and start-ups.
  9. Conduct rollout meetings at new, key, and existing customer locations.
  10. Lead and nurture local implementation teams (LIT).
  11. Identify, calculate, and document cost savings related to direct and indirect spend, and value-added services programs.
  12. Develop and implement account business development activities, including product gap analysis and account discovery.
  13. Conduct internal and customer training sessions on account and customer processes.
  14. Serve as liaison between key suppliers, marketing, and operations.
Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience related to the position; 6+ years preferred.
  • Experience in financial analysis, sales, and negotiation for 5+ years; 6+ years preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry suppliers, customers, and competitors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Business analysis, financial modeling, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with key decision makers.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunities quickly.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial and operational data.
  • Ability to establish external resources and build trust.
  • Quick learner of complex technical information.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of Wesco’s existing business lines is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 50% - 75%.
