Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking a Business Development Manager for our Design & Engineering business unit. This is a remote position in the United States.

Job Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will lead strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, market penetration, and customer engagement across Hexagon’s Design & Engineering portfolio. This individual will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and partnering cross-functionally with product, marketing, and technical teams to align solutions with customer needs.

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic business opportunities for growth within assigned industry segments.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and support integrated campaigns that drive awareness and demand for Hexagon’s Design & Engineering products.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, industry partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform product positioning and solution differentiation.
  • Collaborate with product management, R&D, and sales enablement to align business development initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Lead customer engagements and presentations to articulate Hexagon’s value proposition and ROI.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing within a technical or industrial software environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and build long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with design and engineering tools, PLM software, or simulation technologies is a strong plus.

This role is in an office setting with standard equipment usage, including a computer, printer, copier, and phone. Regular communication and frequent standing, walking, and use of office equipment are part of the job. Travel up to 25% may be required to attend customer meetings, trade shows, and internal team sessions.
