You will be responsible for ensuring the inspection, maintenance, and construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other railway structures, including buildings and facilities. Your territory will be from Kansas City to Chicago. You will oversee an average of 12 unionized employees to ensure safety and efficiency, fully compliant with standards, policies, regulations, and operating rules. Additionally, you will provide leadership to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of the railway related to the Structures Department.

Operating safely is core to CPKC. All new hires for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment medical, including physical, vision, hearing, alcohol, and drug assessments. Pre-employment drug tests are also required. Candidates in the Trainee Program will need to pass a drug test during training to qualify.
All new hires must undergo a drug screen to ensure safety and a drug-free environment.
This program offers a pathway to becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer, which may require certification maintenance.
