Job description

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Within Banking Operations, the ACH team supports reliable money movement while protecting clients and the firm through disciplined risk management, regulatory awareness, and operational excellence. As Manager, Banking Operations - ACH, you will serve as a senior individual contributor who leads through expertise, influence, independent judgment, and ownership rather than direct people management. You will partner across Bank Operations Leadership, Digital Services, Product Management, Technology, Compliance, Financial Crime and Risk Management, Service, and external vendors to advance business initiatives and strengthen ACH capabilities.

You will shape and deliver transformation and process improvement efforts from problem definition through implementation, adoption, and measurement. Your work will include supporting complex and high-risk ACH approvals and escalations, researching issues with internal partners and partner banks, resolving reconciliation breaks, and identifying opportunities to reduce not-in-good-order work. You will use operational data and sound judgment to identify trends, recommend scalable solutions, and help ensure ACH practices remain aligned with applicable banking requirements.

You will also build sustainable team capability by developing procedures, knowledge content, training materials, and implementation plans; sharing specialized knowledge with new and experienced colleagues; and supporting cross-training across related Banking Operations functions. Success in this role means delivering measurable business impact, mitigating risk, improving production quality, and creating durable operational improvements that help the organization serve clients with integrity and operate effectively at scale.

We Believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis without employer sponsorship.
