Job summary

The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants is seeking a standards-focused professional to address auditing and assurance issues within ASB/IAASB/ARSC projects. You will develop standard-setting materials, proposed standards and related analysis, memos, and presentations to guide ongoing work.

You will report to the Technical Director - Audit and Attest Standards and operate on a hybrid schedule, with flexibility to collaborate across teams and time zones.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years public accounting experience
  • Familiarity with AICPA professional standards
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA credentials

Responsibilities

  • Address issues in auditing and assurance and standard-setting projects of the ASB, IAASB, and ARSC.
  • Develop standard-setting materials, proposed standards, memos, and presentations.
  • Monitor activities of IAASB, PCAOB, and other standard-setters and develop views for discussion.
  • Lead website content updates for ASB and ARSCS with A&A and IT.
  • Participate in development of implementation guidance and educational materials.

Job description

The primary focus of this role is to address issues in the auditing and assurance environment and related standard-setting projects of the ASB, and IAASB, and the ARSC.

You will develop standard setting materials, proposed standards, and related analysis, memos, and presentations to guide the standard-setting projects underway.

You will report to the Technical Director - Audit and Attest Standards and use a hybrid work schedule.

You Will:

  • Manage task forces and gain an understanding of issues. Analyze potential solutions and draft recommendations, proposals, and related memos for discussion with the task forces, ASB, and ARSC. Draft proposed standards, amendments, and related guidance.
  • Monitor and understand the activities of other standard-setters, including the IAASB and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Develop views in response to these activities for discussion with the ASB, International Audit Standards Task Force, IAASB, and others.
  • Perform technology related and document management activities
  • Lead efforts to maintain ASB and ARSC website content, working with A&A team and IT.
  • Post monthly, updated professional standards in the shared folder
  • Track related to A&A webpages and performance
  • Perform technical accuracy reviews on documents, including conforming amendments
  • Help with a variety of Team activities related to audit and assurance practice matters, such as development of implementation guidance, educational materials, and other publications or documents.
  • Be the liaison for the A&A team with other teams.

You Have:

  • 3+ years public accounting experience, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with AICPA professional standards
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant

The Annual Salary Range for this role is: $95,000- $110,000
