Job summary

Carr, Riggs & Ingram is seeking a Manager, Audit to lead and supervise audit engagements in a dynamic firm environment. You will coordinate engagements, review financial statements, and ensure quality control while mentoring staff and maintaining CPA credentials.

The role requires 5+ years in public accounting, including 3 years as a senior in-charge, with excellent communication, research, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • CPA Certification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public accounting, 3 years as a senior (in-charge) accountant.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative.
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze information collected.
  • Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and remain organized.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, organize and schedule engagements to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Provide timely feedback on each engagement to ensure staff learning and development.
  • Review complete set of financial statements and related disclosures for regulatory compliance.
  • Review work papers to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
  • Research accounting issues and provide solutions.
  • Properly plan and manage engagements to ensure completion.
  • Become an expert within assigned niches.
  • Monitor the quality of our product and the performance of our personnel.
  • Maintain public certification and Continuing Professional Education units.
  • Assist in special projects assigned by Partners.
  • Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
