Manager, Asset Compliance

Location: Austin, TX, US, 78701

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Asset Compliance to join our compliance team supporting a growing renewable energy company. This senior-level role involves leading and improving NERC CIP compliance activities, focusing on assets under CIP standards. We are also open to considering mid-level candidates with strong NERC CIP experience and high growth potential, with responsibilities and titles adjusted accordingly.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Lead or support the development of the NERC CIP compliance program.
  2. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on CIP standards or assist in interpreting requirements.
  3. Drive or support internal audits, evidence collection, and control testing.
  4. Participate in stakeholder meetings to ensure compliance alignment.
  5. Mentor peers and learn from others in compliance duties.
  6. Identify and recommend process improvements.
  7. Support remediation and root cause analysis after compliance findings.
  8. Monitor regulatory changes and update internal guidance.
  9. Perform daily compliance activities with increasing autonomy.
Job Requirements & Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT, Business, or related field.
  • At least 8 years of work experience, including 8 years in NERC CIP compliance or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of NERC CIP standards in utility or renewable sectors.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
  • Experience in audit readiness, policy, and evidence management.
  • Ability to understand Non-Compliance Investigation, Self-Report, and Mitigation processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage relationships.
  • Desire to learn about the company and renewable energy sector.
  • Willingness to travel and work at different locations.
  • Physical ability to sit, walk, or stand for long periods.
