Summary

The Area Sales Manager, FSOP leads the execution of sales initiatives across all FSOP accounts. Most important decisions are made fully independently. The Area Sales Manager, FSOP is responsible for execution in the field, coordination across functions, and providing inspirational leadership to the FSOP Sales team.

Responsibilities

  • The Area Sales Manager Food Service On-Premise will have full responsibility for sales execution in all local, regional, and national FSOP assigned accounts.
  • Responsible for the execution of all sales priorities and initiatives.
  • Manage the quality of your respective areas.
  • Manage with the target BD&L numbers assigned by the company.
  • Accountable for the Product Age Survey Results.
  • Develop action plan to address gaps noted.
  • Ensure proper repack process is followed at the store level through trade visits and development of the front-line sales team.

People Management

  • Responsible for identifying and developing core talent, including stewardship of the Talent Management Review at the DSM and Account Manager level.
  • Coach and develop the team of direct reports while ensuring a culture of learning and development exists throughout the FSOP selling organization.

Customer Management

  • Responsible for relationships with FSOP accounts serving as the connection point with store-level leadership in operations.
  • Accountable for selling in and adherence to calendar marketing agreements.
  • Provide feedback to the national customer teams.

Supply Chain

  • Drive collaboration between supply chain and field sales execution including sales/delivery route planning.
  • Serve as a key enabler for Supply Chain initiatives.

Commercial Leadership

  • Execute and fulfill all channels, packages, and pricing plans provided by the Commercial Leadership COE.
  • Provide feedback to the Director of Sales on marketplace conditions (competition, channel plans, pricing, architecture).
  • Follow established company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality procedures and policies.
  • Actively participate in Hazard Mitigation.
  • Complete assigned Health & Safety trainings.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA (or equivalent) required.
  • 3+ years of sales management experience leading a sales team required.
  • Proven CPG sales leader dealing directly with Operations VPs.
  • CMA selling experience is required.
  • Passionate, results-oriented, collaborative, self-motivated, with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective leader capable of motivating teams and working in a matrixed organization.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment.
