The Opportunity

This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL facility or an Abbott facility within the US. This is not a remote role.

What You’ll Work On

The function of the Quality Program, Manager is to provide leadership, oversight, and project management covering Abbott's Quality System. This includes division / business support and quality expertise and consulting activities.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead global committees and teams
• Provide direct business support
• Participation in industry groups
• Improve the effectiveness of the Abbott Quality System, including monitoring, trending and analysis of Abbott compliance performance
• Act as a change agent for incorporating best practice methods
• Divisional Liaison

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree, 4-year degree in a Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related life science
• 10–12 years of progressively responsible experience in quality, compliance, or operations within a CLIA-certified and/or CAP-accredited clinical laboratory or reference laboratory environment
• Minimum 3–5 years of people leadership experience in laboratory quality or compliance
• Deep working knowledge of CLIA, CAP accreditation standards, and applicable state regulatory requirements
• Experience supporting lab inspections/audits (CAP, CLIA, FDA, Notified Body, internal audits)
• Strong expertise in quality systems: nonconformances, CAPA, proficiency testing, validation/verification, document control, and quality indicators
• 3+ years leading cross‑functional quality or compliance projects, including implementation of new regulatory requirements or accreditation readiness programs

Base Pay

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00
