Description
We are seeking a strategic, driven, and collaborative Ad Sales Manager to lead a portion of our Apple News advertising team in North America. This leader will guide a team of Client Partners responsible for delivering thoughtful, brand-forward advertising solutions for some of the world's most influential marketers. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of digital media, a deep understanding of agency and client relationships, and a consistent track record of leading high-performing sales teams. In this role, you will help advertisers tap into the editorial excellence, engaged audience, and innovative formats of Apple News. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams including Marketing, Product, Operations, and Analytics to bring ideas to life and grow the Apple News advertising business with integrity and excellence! As a Manager on the Apple News Ad Sales team, you will:

  1. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Client Partners across key North American markets
  2. Set and manage revenue targets, providing strategic guidance to unlock growth across industry verticals
  3. Foster senior-level relationships with media agencies and brand marketers to drive adoption of Apple News advertising
  4. Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Operations to shape go-to-market strategies and improve the advertiser experience
  5. Drive innovation in storytelling and branded experiences that align with the unique strengths of Apple News
  6. Deliver proactive guidance, feedback, and support to help the team exceed expectations and scale their impact
  7. Represent Apple News in internal forums and industry events with professionalism and thought leadership

Minimum Qualifications
  1. 10+ years of experience in digital media with a focus on brand advertising and content-driven sales
  2. 5+ years of people management experience leading sales teams, ideally within a matrixed organization
  3. Experience hiring, building, and scaling high-performing ad sales teams in dynamic or high-growth environments
  4. Demonstrated success in building and scaling strategic client relationships, particularly with agencies and Fortune 500 brands
  5. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Deep understanding of the media planning and buying process, especially within the US agency ecosystem
  2. Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills with a collaborative approach
  3. Ability to translate data and insights into compelling narratives that drive results
  4. Experience working with editorial content or in premium environments is a plus
  5. Passion for Apple's brand and commitment to upholding editorial integrity

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $207,600 and $385,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
