Job summary

Ashley Furniture Industries is seeking a Manager of Inventory Optimization & Planning to own how inventory targets are set and calibrated across the distribution network, inbound pipeline, and retail footprint. You will work with AI agents to translate targets into ranked, executable recommendations for field teams and help rebuild the planning tooling and operating model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain analytics, or related quantitative operations role.
• Hands-on experience with inventory target setting and multi-node placement.
• Experience building internal analytical tools or recommendation engines used by real users.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for analysis, with ability to write code directly when needed.
• Power BI experience, including building semantic models and views.

Responsibilities

• Define the day-to-day decision logic behind inventory target setting and stock placement across the network.
• Shape how targets are set, not just what they are.
• Move to AI-enabled, near-continuous recalibration with agent-supported workflows.
• Co-design and validate next-gen planning tools with engineering and analytics partners.
• Own forecast-to-target handshake and ensure feedback loops from forecast reach inventory policy decisions.
• Develop analysts into agent operators and tool builders; document playbooks.
