Job summary

Loyalty360 seeks a senior data scientist to lead advanced analytics for supply‑chain operations across multiple locations. The role focuses on predictive modeling, optimization, and data integration to enable scalable supply‑chain decisions.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in statistics, ML, and EOQ and will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deploy data science products in a hybrid work environment with in‑person and remote days.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applicable experience with emphasis on supply‑chain analytics, agile software development, optimization or predictive modeling
• 5+ years of advanced statistical analysis with emphasis on machine learning
• Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Scala, and Python
• Experience with predictive modeling, clustering, and optimization
• Experience with data science workflows and analytics tooling

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical models to predict supply‑chain operational needs and automate decision‑making processes
• Use advanced analytics to highlight operational trends and external variables that impact supply‑chain performance
• Collaborate with IT to structure supply‑chain data to create a 360 view of the supply chain
• Scale and deploy supply‑chain products such as control tower, vendor profitability models, and out‑of‑stock detection
• Mentor Supply‑Chain Data Science COOPs and train analysts in best practices

Job description

Primary Purpose

Responsible for utilizing advanced statistical tools and leading‑edge technology to analyze large datasets related to the supply chain of Ahold Delhaize brands, facilities, and assets. Develop predictive models and algorithms to generate new insights that support scalable and efficient supply‑chain operations. Lead the discovery and analysis of business data, define new metrics and business cases, design simulations and experiments, and create models and financial evaluations. Apply advanced analytics to measure the effectiveness of operational changes. The successful candidate will have a strong quantitative background and thrive in an environment that leverages statistics, machine learning, operations research, econometrics, and business analysis. Work closely with supply‑chain engineers and product managers to evolve descriptive insights into predictive and prescriptive supply‑chain products.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in‑person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA & Scarborough, ME.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop statistical models to predict supply‑chain operational needs and automate decision‑making processes
• Use advanced analytics to highlight operational trends and external variables that impact supply‑chain performance to offer proactive recommendations in support of operational goals
• Collaborate with IT to structure supply‑chain data to create a 360 view of the supply chain, leveraging new technology to access and analyze data
• Work closely with product managers and supply‑chain engineers to sustainably scale and deploy supply‑chain products such as control tower, vendor profitability models, and out‑of‑stock detection
• Serve as the expert on advanced analytics tools and technologies
• Design tests to quantify supply‑chain pilot results using A/B testing and statistical methods
• Collaborate with and mentor Supply‑Chain Data Science COOPs by providing project oversight, guidance, and mentorship
• Train other user groups and analysts to utilize best‑in‑class tools and models

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applicable experience with emphasis on supply‑chain analytics, agile software development, optimization or predictive modeling
• 5+ years of advanced statistical analysis with emphasis on machine learning
• Extensive hands‑on experience using statistical programming software and languages such as SAS, SQL, R, Scala, and Python
• Extensive hands‑on experience with predictive modeling, clustering, and optimization
• Significant experience in algorithm development, focus on supply‑chain related topics preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Azure stack, Hadoop, Hive clusters, Apache Spark, Databricks
• Demonstrated skills in selecting the right architecture for a data analysis problem
• Simulation development experience, focus on supply‑chain areas
• Front‑end software development skills a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, supply‑chain management or related fields required
• Master’s Degree or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science or related fields preferred

Salary Range (ME/NC/PA/SC): $108,880 - $163,320

Salary Range (IL/MA/MD/NY): $125,200 - $187,800
