Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD or advanced Life Sciences degree preferred.
  • Three years of veterinary practice or pharma advertising regulation experience required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance business needs with regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, guidance documents, SOPs, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves Pharmaceutical Advertisement and Promotional labeling in line with regulations.
  • Collaborates with Marketing, Technical Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Legal and other stakeholders to provide regulatory guidance.
  • Assesses benefit-risk information and ensures materials are accurate and non-misleading.
  • Educates internal teams on advertising and promotion requirements and mitigates regulatory risks.
  • Supports business objectives while upholding high standards of animal health stewardship.
  • May assume additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

The Manager, Ad & Promo Compliance – AH ensures regulatory compliance of U.S. Animal Health pharmaceutical advertising and promotional materials by reviewing and approving promotional communications for consistency with approved product labeling, company policies, and applicable regulations. This role assesses product benefit-risk information, provides regulatory guidance and training to stakeholders, identifies and mitigates compliance risks, and supports business objectives while maintaining the high standards of animal health stewardship.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Reviews and approves Pharmaceutical Advertisement and Promotional labeling consistent with applicable company policies and compliance regulations (Including but not limited to 21 CFR 514.80 & 21 CFR 202.1)
  • Works closely with Marketing, Technical Marketing, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders to provide regulatory guidance throughout the development and review of promotional communications
  • Supports the appropriate communication of product benefits and risks by continuously assessing the benefit-risk profile of Animal Health products and ensuring promotional materials are scientifically accurate, non-misleading, and compliant with applicable regulations
  • Educates internal stakeholders on advertising and promotion requirements, influences compliant decision-making, identifies and mitigates regulatory risks, and helps ensure that all promotional activities support business objectives while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and animal health stewardship
  • May assume additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Participates in other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited College of Veterinary Medicine highly preferred; and/ or advanced degree such as MSc, MPH, MBA, PhD, or other relevant Life Sciences degree preferred
  • Three (3) years of veterinary practice experience or pharmaceutical advertising, promotion, labeling, and applicable regulations required
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong judgment, compliance focus, and ability to balance business needs with regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across functions and organizational levels
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive efficient, high-quality outcomes
  • Ability to represent Regulatory Affairs and provide expert guidance on advertising, promotion, labeling, and compliance matters
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, guidance documents, SOPs, and industry standards governing pharmaceutical advertising and promotional communications
  • Collaborative team player who drives results and supports organizational change within a matrix environment
Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
