NOTE: This position will allow you to work remotely throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and train team members.
  • Propose premiums that meet company goals.
  • Forecast future trends.
  • Review the appropriateness of rating factors by plan, area, network, etc.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
  • Monitor emerging experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 6 years of actuarial work with 3 years in a leadership role preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Prior Medicare bid submission experience preferred.
  • Master's Degree preferred.

Professional Certification(s):

  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Access; knowledge of SAS, VBA, SQL preferred.
  • Experience with Medicare Advantage and/or Part D preferred.
  • Ability to manage people, projects, and time effectively.
  • Knowledge of enrollment, premiums, and claims within insured segments.
  • Experience in pricing strategies for new products.
