  • Oversees regulatory databases and data inputs for applications and monitors citations clearance.
  • Coordinates unannounced surveys and mock surveys; leads command center during surveys.
  • Monitors corrective actions to ensure ongoing compliance.

Responsible foroverall accountability for the assigned facility’s accreditation and regulatoryrequirements including active involvement with all survey activity. Leads facility and associated on andoff-campus site activities to achieve a constant state of surveyreadiness. Develops ongoing educationand monitoring of all departments in support of regulatory compliance. Attends appropriate meetings for disseminationof information and consultative input. Serves as assigned on quality committeesand participates, chairs and oversees performance improvement activities withinthe accreditation and regulatory arenas. Assists the department administrationin managing system accreditation and survey activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provides direction and oversight forregulatory and accreditation compliance including all local, state, and federalagencies.
  • Develops systems to ensure continualorganizational readiness.
  • Functionsas a resource and educator to support management, medical and hospital staff onaccreditation and other applicable regulatory requirements to the assignedfacility
  • Oversees,within scope of accountability, the regulatory agencies database and inputsdata for the application process and monitors the data input for citationclearance. Collaborates with applicablereimbursement team members to ensure regulatory and cost reports/filingsare consistent.
  • Participatesand/or coordinates in unannounced regulatory agency surveys including mocksurveys. Designs, implements and takesleadership as directed of the command center during any survey activity.
  • Routinely monitors corrective measuresto ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate Degree in nursing, business or related field
  • One year of healthcare regulatory experience

Preferred:

Bachelors degree in nursing, business or related field

1 year of management experience
