InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

InvaGen Pharmaceuticals is a Cipla subsidiary engaged in developing, manufacturing, marketing, and distributing generic prescription medicines across various therapeutic areas such as cardiovascular, anti-infective, CNS, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, and anti-depressants. Founded in 2003, based in Central Islip and Hauppauge, NY, and with a project site in Fall River, Massachusetts since October 2020 to support Cipla's respiratory business in the U.S.

1. Job Purpose

Manage the P2P process from the finance side for all US entities and support treasury operations in cash flow planning.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Accountability Cluster 1: Procure to Pay process
  • Ensure periodic follow-up on pending invoices / CIMMRA queries with SCM, Procurement, Warehouse, and other teams.
  • Resolve discrepancies and follow up on pending documents.
  • Send bi-weekly list of unbooked invoices for document follow-up.
  • Coordinate with SCM/Procurement on amount mismatches or third-party payment documents.
  • Review open advances for settlement or clearing.
  • Develop/review vendor categorization to improve P2P process TAT.
  • Update vendor banking details as per policy.
  • Handle vendor queries and perform timely payment runs.
  • Collaborate with business partners on vendor payment queries.
  • Work closely with Shared Service group for AP functions.
Accountability Cluster 2: Month/Quarter/Annual closing, Internal/Statutory Audit
  • Ensure timely accounting entries to facilitate month-end closing.
  • Review open POs, GR/IR line items, and coordinate with procurement for invoice/balance confirmation.
  • Review open CIMMRA queries and provide accruals.
  • Support finance controller with month-end schedules and data requirements.
  • Provide data to auditors and address queries.
  • Maintain hygiene of GR/IR, Open POs, Vendor accounts through regular reviews.
  • Coordinate with FSS team for trade payable reports, bank reconciliations, and other reports.
  • Manage month-end accruals for corporate credit card expenses.
Accountability Cluster 3: Process review and improvements
  • Partner with FSS and other functions to define and improve TAT for AP activities.
  • Drive process standardization across US entities.
  • Minimize regularization cases and non-PO routes for routine services.
  • Review credit card utilization and set limits to ensure policy compliance.
Accountability Cluster 4: Support to treasury team
  • Manage check printing, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Develop weekly payment plans with FSS support for cash planning.
  • Track payment plan accuracy and deviations.
  • Coordinate employee expense tracking and closure via corporate credit cards.
  • Identify and resolve deviations from credit card and travel policies through process improvements or training.
Educational & Experience
  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business management, or qualified accountant.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing the complete P2P process for a business of $1Bn size.
