CinRx Pharma, LLC is seeking a Manager, Accounting & Finance to manage day-to-day accounting across multiple biotech entities. You will own the close process, maintain clean books, oversee cash and payables, and deliver accurate financials to leadership.
The role reports to the CFO and partners with CPAs, auditors, and banking partners. As a hands-on controller, you will drive monthly closes, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting while improving controls.
CinRx Pharma is a biotech company advancing a diverse portfolio of high-impact medicines through clinical development, supported by a distinctive hub-and-spoke business model. The company combines specialized financing with centralized operational infrastructure to efficiently progress multiple therapeutic candidates. Its portfolio focuses on areas of high unmet medical need, including metabolic, gastrointestinal, and oncology indications. Guided by an asset selection process that is agnostic to therapeutic area and informed by insights from thousands of development programs, CinRx works with strategic CRO partners to identify, fund, and accelerate drugs that can meaningfully improve patients’ quality of life. CinRx Pharma is headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
We're hiring a Manager, Accounting & Finance to run day-to-day accounting and finance operations across multiple biotech entities. Think of it as a hands-on controller role at a smaller scale: you'll own the close, keep the books clean, manage cash and payables, and produce the financials leadership relies on.
You'll report to the CFO, and work closely with operating teams, outside CPAs, auditors and banking partners. It's a highly visible role with real ownership and room to grow as the portfolio grows.
Close and reporting:
Lead the monthly, quarterly and year-end close across multiple entities, including journal entries, accruals and prepaids
Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, intercompany and clinical/R&D accruals
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reporting packages
Maintain clean, well-documented books and help improve close processes and internal controls
Payables and spend:
Review and approve vendor bills and manage the AP cycle and payment runs
Create and manage purchase orders, and track spend against contracts and budgets
Partner with operating teams and vendors (CROs, CMOs, consultants) to keep accruals and invoices accurate
Treasury and cash:
Own cash management and maintain liquidity trackers and cash forecasts for each entity
Manage banking relationships, funding requests and payment approvals
Planning, audit and tax:
Support annual budgets and forecasts, and prepare budget-to-actual variance analysis
Coordinate the annual financial statement audit and prepare audit schedules and support
Work with outside tax advisors on income tax provisions, filings, 1099s and sales/use or other compliance
Take on special projects such as financings, new entity setup and systems improvements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with hands-on ownership of the month-end close
Working knowledge of US GAAP, reconciliations and financial statement preparation
Advanced Excel skills and comfort building trackers, schedules and forecasts
Experience with a cloud accounting system (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite or Sage Intacct) and AP/bill-pay tools
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage several entities and deadlines at once
Clear communicator who is comfortable working directly with leadership, vendors and auditors
Comfortability with AI tools
Broad exposure: see the full accounting and finance picture across several companies, not one narrow slice
Ownership: a lean team where your work goes straight to leadership
Growth: a clear path toward Controller-level responsibility as the portfolio expands
Mission: help move new medicines through clinical development
Competitive salary, bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package
