Job summary

CrossCountry Consulting LLC is expanding its Accounting Advisory practice in Texas. You will partner with multinational clients and pre-IPO entities, applying your accounting expertise to deliver tailored solutions that address today’s challenges and future goals.

You’ll work under experienced leaders and a dedicated coach in a collaborative environment. The role emphasizes strong financial reporting, operational accounting, and the implementation of new accounting standards, with opportunities

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial reporting or accounting roles.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs.
• CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Experience mentoring and developing teammates.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Design reporting processes and assist with restatements and filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K).
• Lead operational accounting improvements across client engagements.
• Implement new and existing accounting standards for clients.
• Communicate project findings and recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client teams on solutions.
• Develop and implement AI-enabled solutions in line with policies.
• Stay informed on emerging AI tools and opportunities.
• Oversee project administration: setup, budgeting, billing.
• Mentor and provide feedback and performance reviews.

• Financial Reporting (including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings).
• Operational Accounting (addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of the finance and accounting functions).
• Implementation of new and existing accounting standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients to convey project findings, updates and recommendations.
• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members regarding business issues and potential solutions.
• Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
• Oversee project administration (e.g., project setup and planning, budgeting, account management, billing).
• Mentor team members by coaching colleagues, providing regular ongoing feedback and annual performance reviews, and helping project teams resolve multi-faceted issues.

You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience working with companies in one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policy, complex transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS).
• Transaction based accounting and reporting requirements, including IPOs (S-1), mergers & acquisitions, carve-outs, etc.
• Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, advisory firm or management consulting firm).
• Strong operational and technical accounting background, including experience researching complex technical accounting issues.
• Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
• Professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.
• Experience mentoring and developing team members

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Experience supporting transactions as a result of (or in preparation for) one or more of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, and IPO is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences.
