Manager - Accounting Advisory Strategic Projects (CFO Advisory)

Cherry Bekaert, ranked among the largest accounting and consulting firms in the country, is seeking a Manager for our CFO Advisory practice. This role offers flexibility to work remotely or from any of our offices with travel as needed.

About the Role

As a Manager, you will:

1. Assist with financial close processes and improve financial statement close efficiency.
2. Support Cash to Accrual accounting, open balance sheet preparation, and purchase accounting.
3. Help prepare for audit readiness.
4. Lead technical accounting projects, including IPO/SPAC, ASC 480, 606, 718, 805, 815, and SEC reporting.
5. Prepare and review financial statements, footnotes, reconciliations, month-end close, accounting memos, and audit schedules for public filings.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA license (active or in process).
• At least 5 years of experience in public accounting or industry, working with SEC-registered companies.
• Experience with technical accounting matters, SEC reporting, and conversions (GAAP, IFRS).
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently and within a team.
• Travel up to 35% as needed.

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP, NetSuite, Sage, Workday, Yardi, Quickbooks.
• SEC reporting tools like Workiva, Merrill, DFIN.
• Experience with Workiva, OneStream, FloQast, Alteryx, Tableau, Python.
