Job summary

Wipfli LLP in the United States seeks a CAS Advisory Manager to lead manufacturing client engagements, analyze financial data, and advise on accounting and process improvements. You will mentor teams and collaborate with domestic and offshore resources to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
  • 4–6 years of accounting experience, including manufacturing exposure.
  • 3+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing accounting: WIP, inventory, cost, COGS.
  • APIs, CMA, or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Up to 10% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Review financial reporting packages, ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Prepare benchmarking data and KPIs for client insights.
  • Present findings to clients as directed.
  • Assist in budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models.
  • Provide technical accounting support on complex issues.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Lead US and offshore engagement teams for quality delivery.
  • Coach staff and senior accountants on accounting matters.

This role supports manufacturing clients by delivering high-quality financial reporting, performance insights, and operational recommendations that drive business results. As a CAS Advisory Manager, you will lead client engagements, analyze financial data, and provide guidance on accounting and process improvements. You will also mentor teams and collaborate with both domestic and overseas resources to enhance service delivery and efficiency. This is a highly visible, client-facing role focused on building strong relationships and delivering impactful advisory solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.

  • Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights.

  • Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.

  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms.

  • Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.

  • Identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements.

  • Lead and coordinate the efforts of US and offshore engagement team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, efficient workflow management, and a consistent client experience.

  • Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required4–6 years of accounting experience, including exposure to manufacturing environments3+ years of experience leading and developing teamsKnowledge of manufacturing accounting concepts, including WIP, inventory, job costing, and COGSAPIs, CMA, or similar certification preferredStrong financial reporting and analytical skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and client relationshipsExcellent communication and presentation skillsExperience with accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Fishbowl, Katana) and Microsoft OfficeAbility to influence outcomes, drive process improvements, and develop team membersAbility to travel up to 10%

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $107,000 to $160,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
