Job summary

Wipfli in Chicago is seeking an Audit professional to join our hybrid team. You will audit financial statements, participate in pre-audit planning, and assess risk across client engagements, building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred, and willingness to travel up to 50%. Compensation ranges from $77,000 to $104,000, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required. Must meet educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam.
  • CPA certification preferred; candidates actively pursuing CPA will be considered.
  • Requires 1–3 years of accounting related experience.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively on multiple tasks.
  • Adaptable to various levels of client complexities of people, processes, and systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to client sites up to 50%.

  • Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.

  • Proactively build relationships and communicate with clients and associates.
  • Teach, train, and develop incoming staff/interns.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $77,000 to $104,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
