Manager, Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing

Join to apply for the Manager, Accounting Advisory and Outsourcing role at BDO USA.

This role involves managing the full lifecycle of finance and accounting outsource engagements, including proposal development, staff oversight, final work review, and portfolio financial performance. The Manager will also handle client relationship management, financial reporting, billing, and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Client Service Delivery: Manage engagements, perform general ledger reconciliations, understand and explain technology packages, facilitate discovery meetings, design solutions, determine costs and benefits, formulate recommendations, review solutions, support business changes, and gather client information.
  2. Business Development: Develop strategies, recommend solutions, evaluate clients, participate in industry groups, identify new opportunities, and articulate service offerings and value propositions.
  3. Developing Others: Foster a culture of change and accountability, identify staff development needs, ensure training, participate in recruiting, and serve as a resource for team members.
  4. Project Management: Create work plans, bill timely, scope projects, oversee client satisfaction, and ensure proper billing practices.
  5. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise daily workloads, review work products, act as a career advisor, and evaluate performance of team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics (required); MBA or Master’s in Accountancy (preferred).
  • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience; supervisory experience (preferred); experience with outsourced operations and advisory services (preferred).
  • CPA certification (preferred).
Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, NAV, Bill.com (preferred).
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and travel up to 25%.
Additional Details

Salary range: $105,000 - $125,000, depending on location and experience.
