Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ, seeks a seasoned financial operations leader to oversee corporate accounting and related close processes.

You will manage month-end close for the Obligated Group and Consolidated Entities, GL ERP system processes, and timely financial reporting packages, while coordinating audits and tax filings.

Minimum 5 years in healthcare or public accounting, with a BS in Accounting/Finance; MBA preferred; leadership experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting with direct healthcare or public accounting experience preferred.
• Management experience required or demonstrated through previous job experience and responsibilities.
• Experience with corporate accounting and financial reporting processes is expected.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Financial Operations of Corporate Accounting.
• Manage month end close activities for the Obligated Group and Consolidated Entities.
• Manage General Ledger ERP system processes and procedures for accurate and appropriate transactions.
• Ensure monthly and annual financial reporting packages are submitted timely and accurately.
• Ensure quarterly and annual DAC Bond reports are reviewed and submitted timely and accurately.
• Ensure completion of monthly and annual tax filings.
• Assist leadership with completion of annual report to credit rating agencies.
• Manage internal and external audit engagements and conformity of corporate policies and procedures.
• Support the annual budgetary process as needed.
• Budgetary responsibilities for Corporate Accounting department.
• Assist with Finance related issues as requested.
