Job summary

Scooter’s Coffee in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an amazing Assistant Store Manager to lead team members, ensure fast, friendly service and high-quality beverage preparation. You’ll model barista standards and step in as acting manager when needed.

Franchise ownership means employment through the franchisee, with wage and benefits set by the franchisee. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Direct an efficient workflow.
• Assist the store manager in a variety of store operations.
• Serve as a role model of barista responsibilities and serve as the team leader when the store manager is unavailable.
• Requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
• Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Greet customers, take orders, prepare and serve beverages, as well as various sweet offerings, in accordance with established service standards (i.e., coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, pastries).
• Clean, sanitize and maintain store.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed.
• Stock and replenish food, beverages, and utensils as needed.
• Ensure consistent product availability by keeping adequate inventory; communicate shortages as necessary.
• Efficiently serve customers by being knowledgeable of offerings.
• Research and resolve quality and service complaints and/or issues.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and distributing deliveries.
• Additional duties as assigned.
