PLANTA is seeking a Manager to lead beverage operations and day-to-day bar activities in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting. You will drive profitability through cost controls, oversee the beverage program, and train staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Progressive fast-paced restaurant leadership experience, at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Advanced knowledge of traditional and contemporary cocktails, wine and beer.
  • Hands-on experience with bar operations—ordering, inventory, supplies, cost control, staff training.
  • Strong understanding of profitability through cost control and sales growth strategies.
  • Solution-focused, hands-on leadership style with integrity and analytical thinking.
  • Interest in plant-based ingredients is a plus.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day bar operations in collaboration with restaurant managers.
  • Drive profitability by managing cost controls and sales initiatives.
  • Oversee beverage program, inventory, purchasing and vendor relationships.
  • Direct bar staff training and item education for new offerings.
  • Maintain accurate pricing, par levels, and POS system operations.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and a welcoming bar environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to uphold brand standards.
  • Support general restaurant tasks as assigned by the General Manager.

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

MANAGER

The Manager will work in tandem with the other restaurant managers to support the day-to-day operations while assisting with the beverage program, driving profitability and consistency. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • A track record of progressive sophisticated-casual restaurant experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership position in a comparable, fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Advanced knowledge of traditional and contemporary cocktails, wine and beer
  • Hands on experience with all aspects of bar operations – ordering, inventory management, maintaining bar supplies and equipment, cost control and staff training
  • Strong understanding of how to drive profitability through cost control and sales growth strategies
  • A solution focused and hands-on leadership style
  • Iron clad integrity, sound decision making ability, and analytical mindset
  • An innovative mindset towards business growth
  • Passion for and knowledge of plant-based ingredients preferred, but we're happy to show you the way!
  • Ability to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, per the needs of the business
  • Relevant certifications such as ServSafe or TIPS training are a plus!
WHAT'S ON YOUR PLATE:
  • Championing hospitality for both guests and employees by creating a welcoming, positive environment
  • Actively participating in service and bar operations, exemplifying standards, while driving sales performance and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Engaging with guests to ensure all inquiries and feedback are handled in a timely and appropriate way
  • Overseeing product preparation, presentation, and service to ensure adherence to restaurant standards
  • Responsibility for ambiance and experience of the bar and bar areas including general cleanliness and organization, music, lighting and entertainment coordination where applicable
  • Taking ownership of business performance by maintaining protocols, conducting monthly inventory, maintaining accurate par levels and pricing structures, and optimizing cost via purchasing
  • Directing purchasing operations for all bar ingredients including liquor, wine, beer, NA items, and garnishes and supplies; cultivate partnerships with distributors and negotiate with vendors for the best pricing possible
  • Manage all aspects of beverage and bar training for staff, including new item education, technique training, and beverage sales/pairing training
  • Maintaining accurate POS systems including inventory, modifications, prices
  • Fostering positive and direct lines of communication between all departments and senior leadership
  • Ensuring that all team members are compliant with Company’s policies and procedures, as well as city, state, and federal laws
  • Promoting a safe working and guest environment by enforcing health & safety regulations, including alcohol and security procedures
  • Coordinating repairs, maintenance and preventative upkeep for the building, facility, and grounds
  • Assisting with overall restaurant tasks, including opening and closing procedures, reporting, or scheduling as assigned by the General Manager to ensure efficient daily operations
