Typical duties include reviewing budgets, preparing contract documents, and maintaining financial records, with a telework option up to 3 days per week and a standard 7:30 AM–3:30 PM

Qualifications

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work including collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office information.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training. An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.

  • Grant Processing: Review budgets, track grant requirements, and process agreements from start to completion.
  • Contract Support: Prepare contract documents, coordinate with contractors, and monitor account balances and payments.
  • Invoice Review: Audit and approve invoices, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Data Management: Input and update information in DEP electronic systems and prepare fiscal tracking reports.
  • Program Coordination: Support administrative needs for field operations, air monitoring sites, and equipment procurement.
  • Communication Tasks: Work with vendors, fiscal staff, and contract managers to resolve questions and ensure timely processing.

This role provides administrative support for the Bureau of Air Quality by assisting with grants, contracts, invoices, data entry, and project coordination. As a Management Technician, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,827.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of advanced clerical or para-professional work which included the collection, recording, compilation, and presentation of office management or program related information; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • An Associate's Degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
