Job Description

The Sherwin-Williams Management & Sales Training Program is an accelerated, entry‑level program designed to prepare candidates for a Store Management role within 18–24 months. The program offers a 44‑hour per week schedule, which may include evenings and weekends. Participants will collaborate with store management to oversee a million‑dollar business, gaining leadership, sales, and operational skills. Successful completion of the initial 8‑week training may lead to an Assistant Store Manager position.

Responsibilities
  • Complete training consistent with program objectives.
  • Support business strategies to increase sales and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products for effective customer recommendations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Perform store administration tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, including safety, loss prevention, and security.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Support employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action.
  • Respond to and resolve customer and/or employee complaints.
  • Partner with Store Manager to make outside sales calls to increase market share.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree by the start of the program.
  • Ability to retrieve materials and lift/carry up to 50 lb. frequently and up to 70 lb. occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of retail, sales, or customer service experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Prior experience in a team‑oriented setting.
  • Experience selling paint or paint‑related products.
  • Experience with time‑keeping and/or customer relationship management systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
  • Multilingual communication skills.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
