Your key responsibilities
- Research and share knowledge on the newest security vulnerabilities; participate in security conferences and publish thought leadership.
- Assist in delivering vulnerability management services and develop the firm’s vulnerability management offerings.
Skills and attributes for success
- Develop rapport and deliver quality client services.
- Monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and evaluate client vulnerability management programs.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and control evaluations.
- Familiarity with security standards like ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST, and tools such as Qualys, Rapid7, Tenable.
- Operational experience with vulnerability management tools and patch management solutions.
- Ability to evaluate tools, conduct root cause analysis, and assess exploitability and impact risks.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts including privacy, incident response, governance, and architecture.
- Assist in cybersecurity project management and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, with 6+ years of experience or a master’s degree with 5+ years.
- CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
- Experience with vulnerability management lifecycle, security standards, and operational tools.
- Knowledge of OS, cloud concepts, networking, and scripting (optional).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with senior management.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Additional preferred experience
- Consulting background, OT environment experience, cloud/container expertise, penetration testing, application security, scripting, regulatory experience, attack surface management.
