The internship
This is an eight-week summer internship designed to give you a real look at consulting — not from the sidelines, but by getting close to the work.
You’ll join our Digital & AI practice. We help clients answer questions such as:
- How can organizations navigate digital transformation and technology adoption in a practical, people-first way?
- How can data and technology help solve complex business challenges?
- How can digital strategy, transformation, and its technical implementation come together to create real impact?
- How can organizations modernize their data architectures, governance frameworks, and workflows to support modern solutions?
- How can AI be used to rapidly build prototypes and proof of concepts?
In practice, that means your work could look different from week to week. You might…
- …Help a client identify where, data, technology, or AI can save cost or increase efficiency by improving customer experience with a new help portal or making supply chain more efficient via a customized warehousing inventory tool.
- …Support an AI or data strategy project, helping turn big ambitions into practical priorities, use cases and roadmaps. E.g. Orchestrating the logistics for launching a new internal company chat bot.
- …Work with teams to design smarter and faster data architectures, platforms or workflows that help organizations scale new capabilities. E.g. Helping a company move from a monolithic architecture to a modular architecture.
- …Analyze data, spot patterns and translate technical findings into clear insights that help clients make better decisions. E.g. Develop a commercial analytics dashboard to help sales representatives identify new leads and prospects.
- …Help shape how AI-enabled solutions move beyond a proof of concept into something usable, trusted and ready for the real world. E.g. Implement robust, enterprise grade security, architecture, and platforming into a proof of concept.
- …Support work on data governance, quality or management, helping clients create the foundations they need for reporting, analytics and AI. E.g. Create entity relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, or data catalogues.
- …Help clients think through the people side of digital transformation such as roles, ways of working, adoption, risks and responsible use. E.g. Helping employees to adopt new data products into their normal ways of working.
- …Join fast-moving team discussions where business priorities, technical constraints, and client needs come together. E.g. How can XYZ be achieved within the within the technical domain and landscape of the client.
So, what are we looking for?
We’re not expecting you to have consulting figured out already. We’re looking for students who are curious about how businesses work, energized by solving problems with data and technology and excited to learn in a fast-moving, team-based environment. You’ll stand out if you bring:
- Enthusiasm for consulting, with a passion for AI, data, digital transformation, or technology strategy.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into technical requirements.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative approach, and a passion for continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications:
Majors in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
Key Information:
- Internship dates: Monday 7th June – Friday 30th July 2027
- This is a paid internship. You will be paid a weekly salary of $1,200.
- This internship will be based in NEW YORK CITY. Our client opportunities vary, and your location will depend on current clients and may also be partially remote.
- Vacancy type: Full‑time
Requirements:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the US – this position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
- Applicants must be able to be in person at Baringa and/or client site for the entirety of the Internship program. The position will be on a hybrid basis, with some time spent working remotely and a few days a week on‑site.
- Applicants must be in their junior year of college studies
- Applicants must display a good mix of work experience or internships, extra‑curricular activities (societies, sports clubs, etc.), and / or volunteering work
- Applicants must understand the expectation following a successful role is they will be offered a full‑time role upon graduation
