Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a Management Company Controller in a hybrid role that can sit in New York City or Connecticut. You will own accounting and financial reporting for the firm’s U.S.

management company and general partner entities while leading a Corporate Accounting Manager and Financial Analyst. The position covers quarterly reporting, revenue recognition, AP/AR, intercompany and consolidation, cash flow analysis and FP&A, and leads the annual audits.

Qualifications

• 7-16 years of progressive accounting experience in a multi-entity environment, including management company and GP accounting.
• CPA is preferred

• Revenue recognition and management fees
• AP and AR, accruals, intercompany and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgeting with FP&A
• Leading the annual audits for U.S. entities
• On the GP side, oversee partner capital accounts, economic allocations, and contribution and distribution calculations, including carried interest
• With new funds, retail and credit products, and co-invest vehicles launching, there's significant opportunity to enhance controls, implement systems, and automate processes as the platform grows

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established global private equity platform that is part of a larger multi-strategy alternative asset manager, is seeking a Management Company Controller. This hybrid role can sit in either their New York City or Connecticut offices. You'll own accounting and financial reporting for a significant portion of the firm's U.S. management company and general partner entities while leading a Corporate Accounting Manager and Financial Analyst.

The annual base salary range is $175,000 to $225,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
