The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District is recruiting for a Management Analyst to perform complex financial data collection and analysis to assist management in developing business operations and strategies to achieve overall business goals and continuous improvement in County Fire safety services throughout the County.
The current vacancy will focus on grant management and incident reimbursement. The incumbent will be responsible for tracking, validating, and processing financial claims related to incidents and grants, ensuring costs are accurately documented, reimbursed, and reported in accordance with applicable policies, regulations, and requirements. The position will also serve as a liaison with state, federal, and local agencies regarding reimbursement requirements, documentation standards, compliance, and audit requests. At-Will Status: This is an exempt position. Individuals in the Exempt group are Unclassified, do not attain regular status, and serve at the pleasure of the appointing authority.

Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, healthcare administration, human resources, emergency management statistics, finance or accounting, or other relevant field of study.
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants with an equivalent combination of education and experience commensurate with the responsibilities of the position may be considered.
The ideal candidate will have experience in incident reimbursement, grants management, financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, and compliance, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and grant management systems. Knowledge of MARS, procurement processes, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements is highly desirable. At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory or management role is highly desirable. Experience in Fire/EMS, emergency communications, or local government is desirable.
