The opportunity

At EY, you will have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture, and technology to become the best version of you. And we are counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself and a better working world for all.

Managed Services is a critical component of the EY Vision 2020+ strategy and a new area of growth for the firm. We are looking for a Transition Lead to join our Managed Services team. As a Transition Lead, you will play an integral part in establishing and embedding effective and efficient transition plans for new Managed Services engagements, supporting the transition of services to the account and delivery teams.

You will report to the Area MS Transition Lead and will work closely with other significant global stakeholders and global delivery and enablement teams.

Your key responsibilities

  3. Create and maintain open and trusting relationships with the client and EY leadership.
  4. Organize the transition team and define roles and responsibilities for each team during the transition phase.
  5. Work within the deal cycle with transition solution designs and contract definitions.

  11. Define the approach to transition planning and execution.
  12. Define, establish and utilize an efficient and effective knowledge capture process.
  13. Define acceptance criteria, sign off and formal handover criteria into delivery teams, working with delivery.
  14. Identify, understand and manage risks and issues related to the effective and efficient transition of services.
  15. Ensure successful completion and closure of contractual obligations.
  16. Design and run transformation programs post-service go-live.
  17. Build and continuously enhance managed services capabilities, methodologies and tools.
  18. Co-ordinate the transition community to ensure new tools, approaches and lessons are shared amongst MS engagements.
  19. Ensure complete and accurate reporting with appropriate levels of escalation to enable effective decision making.

The job title does not define or limit your duties and you may be required to carry out other work within your abilities from time to time on request.

Skills and attributes for success
  1. 15+ years of proven experience in transition management of complex Managed Services deals focusing on multiple offerings including Finance, Supply Chain, Cybersecurity, Third Party Risk Management etc.
  2. Extensive programme and project management experience, including management of global, distributed teams in a complex matrix organization.
  3. Extensive experience in change management, process design, knowledge transfer design, operating model design and implementations.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills for client C-Suite and EY senior stakeholders.
  5. Strong business partnering skills enabling working across teams.
  6. Ability to produce work of consistently high-quality under pressure (time & outcomes).
  7. A high level of drive, ability to work independently and deal effectively with ambiguity and change.
  8. Must have exposure to transformation initiatives involving tech/ERP deployment, including process design and controls in new environment.
  9. Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required – Business, Computer Science, Engineering and MBA and/or Master’s degree in business, IT or related field preferred.
