Accountabilities
  • Manage end-to-end payroll support for assigned managed payroll and payroll administration customers, while providing additional support across payroll, tax, and garnishment services when needed.
  • Monitor and resolve customer cases within established service-level agreements, maintaining high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle escalated payroll issues, conduct root cause analyses, document findings, and implement corrective or preventive actions to address recurring issues.

  • Meet established quality, productivity, and service performance metrics while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvements, remaining open to new technologies, procedures, and operational approaches.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree required; additional education or relevant professional experience in payroll is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of payroll experience, including end-to-end processing, payroll research, payroll logic, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • At least 3 years of customer service or customer-facing experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage professional client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, payroll taxes, compliance requirements, and multi-jurisdiction payroll operations.
  • Experience supporting payroll year-end activities, W-2 processing, adjustments, and related reporting requirements.
  • Intermediate experience with payroll configuration, preferably within Workday or a comparable payroll platform.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong data entry, analytical, research, and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent critical-thinking, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain payroll matters clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers, competing priorities, and tight deadlines while exercising sound independent judgment and maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Self-directed and collaborative working style, with the ability to build effective relationships across customer and internal teams.
  • Experience in an outsourcing environment involving payroll, tax, Workday, or Salesforce is preferred.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with the responsibilities and experience required for the role.
  • Professional development opportunities and exposure to diverse customer payroll environments.
  • Values-driven workplace culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, fresh perspectives, and continuous improvement.
