Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Wisconsin is seeking a firmware software engineer to design, develop, and test software for HPE server platforms. The role requires open collaboration with hardware teams and external partners, with a hybrid schedule of two days per week in the office.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IS and about two years of firmware experience, plus strong Python, C/C++, Rust, and OpenBMC/Yocto knowledge.
This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

Job Family Definition: Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs firmware for HPE server platforms. Develops software including operating systems, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and collaborates with hardware teams.
Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.
