Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Mammography - Ultrasound Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. The role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound and mammography procedures, ensuring image quality, and supporting radiology operations under radiologist protocols.

Qualified candidates will hold BLS, ARRT Radiography, SCRQSA licensure, and ARDMS certification with BR within 6 months. Mammography education and clinicals are preferred; prior ultrasound experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• BLS-Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• ARRT-R Radiography eligibility or registry eligibility is required.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credential is required.
• SCRQSA registry licensure is required.
• ARDMS certification is required; BR certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Graduate of an AMA approved Ultrasound school with Mammography education, clinicals and readiness to sit for Mammography Registry (preferred).
• Previous Ultrasound Technologist experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate ultrasound and radiology equipment to perform diagnostic procedures as directed by radiologists.
• Prepare room and equipment, select technical factors, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Assist physicians during invasive procedures and support clerical, scheduling, and inventory tasks as needed.
• Supervise students as assigned by the area supervisor and ensure licensure/training requirements are met.
