Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Mammography Technologist to support the radiologist in delivering high-quality breast imaging. You will organize patient flow, ensure proper positioning, and operate tomosynthesis and stereotactic equipment with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds an AMA-approved 2-year Radiologic Technology Program, at least 1 year of mammography experience, and must demonstrate excellent English communication and collaboration with

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved 2-year Radiologic Technology Program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a mammography technologist.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work effectively with physicians, staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs activities related to patients and breast imaging procedures for their designated areas.
• Demonstrates complete working knowledge of all radiographic equipment (tomosynthesis unit, stereotactic unit) within the department and uses proper positioning.
• Performs and/or assists with mammography procedures according to approved department procedure manual.
• Reviews patient imaging questionnaires and orders with radiologist to ensure safety and appropriateness.
• Maintains quality control of all films and ensures proper labeling and records.
• Uploads CDs and digitizes breast imaging studies as needed.
