Position: Mammography Technologist

Granger Medical Clinic, one of Utah's largest independent, physician-owned medical groups, is seeking a friendly, professional Mammography Technologist to join our West Valley City/Fairbourne location. Our mission is care—join us in sharing this vision.

• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and minimal supervision.
• Responsible for independent operation of equipment.
• Work closely with radiologists and healthcare team members.
• Demonstrate independent judgment in procedures and situations.
• Perform procedures on all ages and genders per protocols and ACR guidelines.
• Conduct daily quality control functions as per MQSA recommendations.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Optimize and implement protocols to improve image quality.
• Prepare patients for exams, including pre-screening and gowning.
• Use proper techniques and positioning for safe, timely, high-quality exams.
• Obtain consents, documentations, coding, and billing.
• Maintain QC program per ACR standards.
• Follow safety practices, equipment cleaning, and sterile techniques.
• Assist with advanced mammography procedures.
• Place and remove IVs when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with ACR & FDA/MQSA requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Certification by ARRT or American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists or licensure in Utah.
• 40 hours of mammography training and 25 supervised mammography exams.
• 8 hours of training in mammographic modality use.
• Experience or willingness to learn breast ultrasound.
• Proficiency with all equipment.
• BLS certification.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Standing and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Repetitive motions from operating equipment.
• Climate-controlled indoor environment.
