Overview:

Provides screening and diagnostic mammography and breast sonography for interpretation by radiologists. Assists with special procedures such as needle localizations and biopsies, providing essential patient care. Applies principles of radiation protection. Assists with general radiographic and office duties as needed. If assigned to the mammography van, drives the mobile unit to various sites throughout Mercy East Communities. Performs duties in alignment with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:

• Education: Successful completion of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• Licensure: R.T(M) and R.T. (BS) or RDMS (BR).
• Certifications: Certified by the ARRT; certification in mammography and Breast Ultrasound is required.
• Other: Skills and knowledge in Breast Biopsy and Needle Localization procedures are preferred.
