This position functions as a specialist in various areas of breast imaging. It provides direct patient care and may require access and administration of medications within their scope of practice and according to state law.

Responsibilities
  • Perform breast imaging procedures using ionizing and non-ionizing equipment, including assisting with Ultrasound guided or Stereotactic breast biopsies.
  • Follow ACR imaging guidelines to produce optimal radiographs.
  • Educate patients about their procedures, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Communicate breast cancer risks and imaging information to patients.
  • Participate in departmental and procedural quality improvement initiatives.
  • Accurately document patient information and assist with follow-up.
  • Train new and student technologists in breast imaging techniques and quality standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Manage supplies inventory.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including quality control and documentation.
Qualifications

Licenses Required:

  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential (within 30 days of hire).
  • Radiologic Technologist license in Utah.
  • ARRT Certification in Mammography.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Stereotactic breast biopsy experience.
  • Three or more years of breast imaging experience.
Physical and Working Conditions

Must be able to meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks including sitting, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling, with or without accommodations.
