Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist must demonstrate thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as image quality. They should effectively communicate with patients about the exam to alleviate anxiety. The role requires understanding of patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Additionally, they should be capable of supervising students providing patient care, treatment, and services during their training.

Qualifications

Required:

• RO (State Radiography License) AND ARRT-R AND must obtain ARRT-M within 1 year of hire; OR, ROT (Temp State Radiography License) AND must obtain ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration AND must obtain ARRT-M within 1 year of hire.

Desired:

• One year of mammography experience.
