Job summary

RAYUS Radiology seeks a Mammography Technologist to join our per diem team in Minnesota. You will operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic mammograms with patient-centered care and high safety standards.

The role requires ARRT registration, state licensure if applicable, CPR, and breast imaging certification. Per diem day shifts and flexible scheduling provide varied hours, with DailyPay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography; ARRT registered.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state if applicable.
• Current CPR certification and imaging specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Mammography machine to produce diagnostic images.
• Screen patients and prepare imaging procedures with proper positioning.
• Follow physician orders, ensure safety and proper documentation in RIS.
• Maintain equipment, protocol manuals, and accreditation requirements.
• Support department imaging protocol updates and training of new staff.

The pay range for this position is $30.00-$45.69 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. As a Mammography Technologist, you will operate your assigned machine to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide Mammography services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This position is per diem/casual working day shifts during the week, flexible schedule.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• (90%) Patient Mammography Imaging
• 1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
• 2. Explains and prepares patients for Mammography imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately imaged/scanned
• 3. Performs routine and advanced Mammography imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• 4. Adjusts Mammography scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
• 5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• 6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• 7. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

Mammography Department Support

• 1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• 2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• 3. Assists with training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required

• 1. High School diploma, or equivalent
• 2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• 3. ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• 4. Licensed Radiologic Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• 5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• 6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform mammography procedures independently
• 7. Certification in imaging specialty
• 8. Must have continuing CEU's in modality as required by MQSA or state specific
