A leading medical group in Houston is seeking a Mammography Technologist. In this role, you will perform vital imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires a strong foundation in radiology and the ability to provide quality patient care. Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Mammography Services, the Mammography Technologist is responsible for the services at The Breast & Imaging Center to include areas of mammography and/or bone densitometry; exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics; provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
Prepare patients for breast imaging procedures by accurately assessing patients’ needs and providing patient education.
Operates breast imaging equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentations of images and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal images.
Prepare patients’ films for interpretation by a radiologist.
Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
Practices radiation safety measures.
Follow HIPAA guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certificate/License:
Associate degree or radiologic graduate of an accredited radiology program
ARRT registered and Certified as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
