Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Mammography Technologist. The role involves performing routine and diagnostic mammography, assisting with biopsies, and ensuring high-quality imaging.

You will train staff, manage supplies, and uphold safety standards in a patient-focused imaging center. The ideal candidate has at least one year in mammography, ARRT certification, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of continuous Mammography experience.
• ARRT license required.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Availability to work daytime weekday hours.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Adjust exposure factors to produce high-quality images.
• Process and review images for identification and quality control.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
• Orient and train new hires.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
