Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) seeks a Mammography technologist to provide mammography exams for diagnosis and treatment under the supervision of the Manager of Breast Imaging. The role requires knowledge of diagnostic radiology and operation of radiologic equipment, including mammography, with state licensure and MSRT/ARRT certification.

Two years of post-high school radiologic technology training is expected, along with excellent communication skills to interact with patients and supervise staff

Qualifications

• Knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography.
• Operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment including mammography.
• State Radiology/mammography license required.
• MSRT/ARRT (M) certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to provide technical supervision to staff technologists.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams for diagnosis and treatment of diseases or injuries.
• Interact effectively with patients and address any apprehensions.
• Instruct students and provide technical supervision to staff technologists.
• Work as technologist and assist with other areas/modalities as necessary.
