A Mammography technologist performs quality breast imaging procedures at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Mammography technologists follow the MQSA and ACR guidelines and proper positioning and use appropriate positioning protocols. Mammography technologists play a critical role in the delivery of health services in an acute care hospital environment while providing patient centric care at all times. A mammography technologist is expected to exercise independent professional and ethical judgment at all times.
