Mammography Technologists are responsible for:

1. Explaining radiographic procedures to patients and collecting accurate patient history.
2. Entering patient and exam data into the Radiology Information System.
3. Assisting Radiologists with invasive procedures as needed.

The Mammography Tech performs mammography exams, including screening and diagnostic studies, and operates imaging equipment to assist Radiologists in diagnosing diseases. Qualifications include:

• Six (6) months to one (1) year of post-registry experience preferred.
• ARRT Mammography certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
